FAMILY
Over one hundred years of tradition and dedication, for unique experiences among wine, vineyards and territory
Son of a historic family of winegrowers from Torrecuso, raised in a home animated by ten children, Giovanni founded his winery in 1920, destined to become one of the oldest estates in Sannio. A stern yet generous man, he remained a point of reference for the local community during the most difficult times.
In the family home, where he was born and raised, he transformed the garage into the first production facility: it is here that the wines from Aglianico and Coda di Volpe took shape. That house became the beating heart of the business until 1999 and remains a living place to this day, where part of the family continues to reside.
In 1955, Nicola, son of founder Giovanni, took over the family legacy and carried forward with dedication the path initiated by his father. Alongside his work in the winery, he managed the wine trade and became a reference point for the buying and selling of grapes in the region, building relationships and trust with local winegrowers. He expanded the facilities and increased production capacity, supporting the company's growth with an increasingly attentive focus on quality and the value of the Denomination of Controlled Origin. Under his leadership, the winery took its first step toward a more structured dimension, without losing its connection to its roots.
Since 1992, Antonio has led the company, having worked alongside his father Nicola since he was a young man. Immersed in grapes and barrels, he learned the techniques and timing of the craft firsthand. Under his leadership, bottling began and the Cantine Iannella brand was born, marking a decisive step toward a new identity. Antonio expanded the company by moving to a new facility, creating state-of-the-art spaces for hospitality and wine tourism, and investing in production technologies. An innovator in both vision and approach, he spearheaded the company's most significant leap forward, building a solid bridge between tradition and modernity.
By Antonio's side since 1992, Maria has been his right hand, sharing choices, responsibilities, and the daily life of the winery. Since 2021, together with her daughter Mariantonietta, she has taken over the management of the company, carrying forward the family project with entrepreneurial vision and a great sense of responsibility.
She is the one who today manages and coordinates the operations of Cantine Iannella, overseeing every detail of life in the winery: a constant attention that has also shaped the development of hospitality and wine tourism. With Maria, the company finds a balance made of practicality, care, and authentic attention to people and work, from the vineyard to the bottle.
Fourth generation of the Iannella family, since 2021 she has been working alongside her mother Maria in managing the winery. She brings a contemporary perspective that renews the way of welcoming and presenting the winery, opening it to new experiences and new commercial horizons, even beyond borders. Her contribution drives new wine-related projects, experimenting with different languages and practices with a vision that combines innovation and social responsibility, while never losing the connection with the family's history and the territory.

A FAMILY THAT GROWS TOGETHER
Cantine Iannella is an extended family: a community of people who share work, values and responsibilities. Between vineyard, winery and hospitality, everyone contributes to the common project. It is from this shared humanity that the strength of our wines is born, every day.
